The smell of sensuality

How important a role does smell play in the dating game? Find out here…

You start your day with the fresh fragrance of hot tea, followed by so many other smells: your breakfast, shower gel, freshly ironed clothes, newspapers…and it continues till you crash late at night, yet the smell of your own never leaves you. Although the human sense of smell is feeble compared to that of many animals, it is still very important and acute. Smell, undoubtedly, has a special role to play in love making, although most of us don’t realize it. (Ever wondered why women so often say, “Honey, I’ve got a headache” when their sloppy husbands just plonk next to them with their stinky feet?)

But on the other hand, the sense of smell can also act as a stimulant in many other cases. Products like deos and perfumes, flowers, powder, rose petals, , mouth fresheners like cardamom, cloves etc are widely used mainly to become sexually appealing to your partner.

These days, aromatherapy is used as an alternative therapy, which again is the result of the realization of this very important aspect of our life. If you’re looking to rejuvenate your relationship, try using fragrances which appeal to both partners. There is nothing sexier than having a candlelight shower in a huge bathtub full of natural oils and rose petals…trust me,it can work miracles (amongst other things!). In fact, certain perfumed oils are said to act as anti-depressants and stimulants. And it is even found that people suffering from anosmia (the loss of ability to smell) go into depression faster than others.

It is very important that a person has good hygiene habits and smell is the determining factor to a very large extent. Eventually, the nose always knows, eh?!!
